PN WebCo. Inc. has received a tip from a CNMI resident in Honolulu that plans are underway to petition Governor Benigno R. Fitial to remove Liaison Officer Engracia R. Babauta from the Marianas Hawaii Liaison Office because of her incompetence and inability to manage and communicate with the office's staff and its constituents. According to our source, Babauta has been creating a coalition with a selected few from the patients and escorts and other CNMI residents in her bid to discredit and cause reputable damage to the image of the Fitial-Villagomez Administration. The emailed statement from our source further reads, "The Administration should immediately remove Babauta from office to avoid further damage to its reputation." This comes about amid plans to close down the liaison arm of the office. While the administration remains mum on the move to shut down the liaison office, highly-reliable sources close to the Office of the Governor have informed us that this move is indeed in progress. Shortly after inauguration Health Secretary Joseph Kevin P. Villagomez hinted that the Department of Public Health was looking at establishing Medical Referral Centers instead of liaison offices. Apparently, this may be the plan behind the closure of the liaison office in Hawaii. |
